ADMISSION CRITERIA

GUIDELINE FOR PREPARING CLIENTS AND PARENTS FOR TREATMENT

Explain Program Philosophy - The Nimkee NupiGawagan Healing Centre believes that solvent abuse is treatable, through patience, guidance, physical development and spirituality. Participants in the program will be treated with dignity, respect and individuality.

Explain Program Requirements - Nimkee NupiGawagan Healing Centre, Board of Directors, require youth to be free from inhalant use for a minimum of 14 days prior to admission.

Explain that intake information will be assessed by the Nimkee NupiGawagan Healing Centre Solvent Abuse program staff.

Explain that the youth must be escorted to and from the program and the the referral worker and family must participate in the treatment program based upon individual treatment plans.

Review the client agreement outline with the client and parents. Your client will receive further explaination during orientation, after entering ttreatment.
