ADMISSION CRITERIAWAITING LISTA priority is managing intake services to ensure that children, youth and their familes are adequately prepared for treatment. When required the Healing Centre will offer brief intervention while waiting for admission. Crisis intervention may occur within the community or at the healing centre depending upon geographic location. Pre-treatment may also include referral to existing community resources in an effort to attend to children and youth at high risk. The most urgent cases, will receive high priority for admission to the 4 month residential healing program. Once a bed is filled, we start a waiting list. As clients graduate or cancellations occur, we will fill spaces available from the waiting list, if their forms are available. Nimkee NupiGawagan Healing Centre will phone the referral soource, not the parents or client, if space becomes available. Names will not automatically be placed on the waiting list unless requested to do so by the referral source. |
